PlushBeds publishes a 15 percent affiliate payout on its own partner page, the highest rate among the brands compared here, and that relationship is one reason it is covered in depth on this site. Head to head

PlushBeds Botanical Bliss vs Avocado Green: all latex or a certified hybrid

Both are built around GOLS certified organic latex. The real difference is what sits underneath: the Botanical Bliss is latex from top to bottom, and the Avocado Green puts its latex over individually wrapped coils.

That makes this a choice of build first and paperwork second. All latex beds feel even and buoyant from edge to edge and tend to be heavy. Hybrids feel a little more familiar if you are coming from a spring mattress, and the coils help air move through the bed. Neither is better in general.

Where PlushBeds' own pages disagree

PlushBeds warranty note: PlushBeds own pages use both "Lifetime Warranty" and a detailed 25 year structure (full replacement in years 1 to 10, prorated in years 11 to 25) in different places. Until the brand settles that in one policy document, we state no term for it and advise confirming at checkout.

The same care applies to its trial: the return trial in its FAQ and product description is 100 nights, and the 365 night figure on its page is a separate comfort guarantee for firmness adjustment, despite one section of the page labelling a money back offer at 365 nights. Our PlushBeds trial and warranty guide sets out both in full.

The prices are not like for like. PlushBeds publishes its Queen price by height. Avocado's verified figure is a starting price, from $1,119, rising with size and feel, so check the Queen price for the feel you want on Avocado's own page.

In detail

The two mattresses, one by one

Our pick

PlushBeds Botanical Bliss, the all latex pick

  • 100 night return trial
  • Separate 365 Night Comfort Guarantee for firmness adjustment
  • Warranty: confirm with the brand
  • Medium (5.5 of 10) or Medium Firm (8 of 10)
  • Who it is forAnyone who wants all latex and certified organic textiles, and the most latex for the money.
  • Who it is not forSomeone coming from a spring mattress who wants that familiar feel. The Avocado suits them better.
  • Honest weaknessThe paperwork. PlushBeds' own pages describe its trial and its warranty in more than one way, as the note under the table explains.

The Botanical Bliss is latex from top to bottom and certified organic in both its latex and its textiles. The build is six layers: a GOTS certified organic cotton cover, GOTS certified organic wool, a GOTS certified organic cotton panel, a natural latex comfort layer, a GOLS certified organic latex comfort layer on the 12 inch model, and a 6 inch GOLS certified organic latex support core. There are no coils and no synthetic foam layers to soften over time.

You choose the height first, then one of two firmness levels. Medium, rated 5.5 out of 10 by the brand, is the one PlushBeds positions for side sleepers. Medium Firm, rated 8 out of 10, is positioned for back and stomach sleepers. Because the layers sit inside a zippered cover, the firmness can be adjusted under the brand's 365 Night Comfort Guarantee instead of returning the whole bed.

Certifications listed on the product page are GOLS, GOTS for both the cotton and the wool, GREENGUARD Gold, eco-INSTITUT and Control Union. Read the trial as 100 nights for returns, and confirm the warranty term with the brand before you pay. The full review goes through every layer.

Avocado Green Mattress, the certified hybrid with a year to decide

  • 1 year trial, returns after 30 days
  • 25 year limited warranty
  • Firm, Medium or Plush
  • Who it is forBuyers who want the deepest certification list and a full year to decide.
  • Who it is not forAnyone set on an all latex build with no coils. The Botanical Bliss is the all latex choice.
  • Honest weaknessReturns open only after 30 days, and a return carries a $99 fee.

Avocado's argument is certification depth. The Green Mattress is certified organic at the finished product level under GOTS, and the brand lists five further standards for the whole mattress, including OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I, EWG Verified, MADE SAFE, GREENGUARD Gold and UL Formaldehyde Free. The latex is GOLS certified organic Dunlop over up to 1,379 individually wrapped coils in seven zones, needle tufted by hand in California.

The Medium feel carries 3 inches of latex at 11 inches high and is the brand's most popular. Plush carries 5 inches at 13 inches high and is positioned for side sleepers. Firm carries 2 inches at 11.5 inches. The trial is a full year, with a $99 return fee, and the warranty runs 25 years with the first 10 non prorated.

Before you buy

Questions buyers ask

Which is cheaper, PlushBeds or Avocado?

Avocado's verified starting price is lower, from $1,119, but that figure rises with size and feel and is not tied to a Queen. The Botanical Bliss Queen is $2,024 at 9 inches, $2,324 at 10 inches and $2,749 at 12 inches. Compare the Queen price for the Avocado feel you want on Avocado's own page.

Which has the longer trial?

Avocado gives 1 year, with returns after 30 days and a $99 return fee. PlushBeds gives a 100 night return trial, with its 365 Night Comfort Guarantee as a separate firmness adjustment offer.

Is the PlushBeds trial 100 nights or 365 nights?

The return trial is 100 nights. That is the figure in the PlushBeds FAQ and product description. The 365 Night Comfort Guarantee is a separate offer for firmness adjustment, not the return trial, even though one section of the PlushBeds page labels a money back offer at 365 nights.

What is the warranty on the Botanical Bliss?

We state no term for it. PlushBeds' own pages use both "Lifetime Warranty" and a detailed 25 year structure in different places. Until the brand settles that in one policy document, confirm the warranty term with PlushBeds at checkout before you pay.

Which has more certifications?

Avocado lists GOTS at the finished product level and five further standards for the whole mattress, including OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I, EWG Verified, MADE SAFE, GREENGUARD Gold and UL Formaldehyde Free. PlushBeds lists GOLS, GOTS for both the cotton and the wool, GREENGUARD Gold, eco-INSTITUT and Control Union.

Is either one all latex?

The Botanical Bliss is. The Avocado Green is a hybrid: GOLS certified organic Dunlop latex over up to 1,379 individually wrapped coils in seven zones.

Are these prices current?

They are the prices shown on each brand's own website on November 5, 2026. Prices move with sales. The price that counts is the one at the brand's checkout on the day you buy.

Does the commission decide the pick?

PlushBeds publishes a 15 percent affiliate payout on its own partner page, the highest rate among the brands compared here, and that is one reason it is covered in depth on this site. It is not the reason it is our pick. It leads on materials, price per inch of certified organic latex and customisation, as set out in its card above.

The short version

Our pick: PlushBeds Botanical Bliss

All latex with certified organic textiles, and the most latex for the money. Read the trial as 100 nights for returns, with the 365 Night Comfort Guarantee as a separate firmness adjustment offer, and confirm the warranty term with the brand before you pay. If you want coils or a full year to decide, the Avocado Green is the better fit.
